New to HRBC

The aim of the HRBC youth department remains to introduce young people to Jesus and then disciple them in their walk with Jesus, equipping them for their teenage years and beyond.  In a culture which says ‘There is no God’ or ‘I don’t need God’ this is an enormous task, but it’s a task we relish with God’s help!

Youth Club

Youth Club

Sports, cooking, crafts, games, chill out…all these things are available at Ham Bap on Friday nights, from 7:30 – 10:30 (10pm for Years 8-10).  This is also a great chance to hear what Christianity is all about and how following Jesus is radical and relevant in Bangor in our generation.

Our talks are taken by our own leaders, videos or by special guests, and then the rest of the night is yours.  If you’re new make yourself known to one of the leaders and we’ll show you around.

You need to fill in a parental consent form, which you can get from one of the leaders.

See you Friday!

Sundays

Bible Class

Bible Class

Bible Class is currently held for young people in Years 8, 9 and 10. This class meets every Sunday during the morning service, which the young people leave after approximately 20 minutes. The class meets in a small classroom with their teacher. Bible Class provides an opportunity for small group Bible study and discussion relevant to the lives of the teenagers. The young people take part in a Mission Project every year and participate in morning services on occasions.

Youth Impact

Youth Impact

Youth Impact is on Sunday nights in the Loft at 7:45 – 9:15.  If you’re in year 8 – 12, it’s perfect for you. There’s a great mix of food, banter, games, hanging out and getting to know God’s word. If you’re a bit older, check out our new group for 6th year and students. If you’re in year 12, you can choose either group 🙂

Training up the next generation of leaders is a major part of our youthwork at HRBC.  We have so many gifted young people who show the ability and it’s great to have so many on the Leaders In Training Programme.

The programme runs for young people of sixth form age who are known to the leadership of HRBC. If you’re interested in applying, get in touch with Keith.

Training occurs ‘on the job’ on a Friday night and in other aspects of the youth work.  We also hold specific training events throughout the year.

Keep er LIT!!
