It may not feel like it, but Summer is rapidly approaching and it’s maybe time to start thinking of how you will spend it, before it’s been and gone!
There’s a really good article on Don’t Waste Your Summer, if you’re already convinced, have a look at some of the opportunities in Northern Ireland.
1. Kircubbin Whizz Kidz / Teen Spirit (5th – 9th August TBC)
Support our church plant in Kircubbin by signing up early to take part in the afternoon programme for kids, and evenings for teenagers. Help is needed on many levels, so whatever your gifting, you’d be much appreciated
2. Baptist Youth Camps and Evangelism Teams (Various)
Support other Baptist Churches on a range of camps and missions. Holiday Bible Clubs to outreach events, these teams will not be short of a challenge. These are great as they work alongside local churches.
3. Scripture Union camps and missions (Various)
6000 young people heard the gospel last year through these events; more volunteers are needed this year. You can even stay at home and serve in local missions like Ballyholme CSSM.
4. Overseas
Take a look at organisations like OM who have many teams across the world
If you cannot go on a camp, please consider praying for the work or sponsoring one of our young people or students to go and serve this summer. (Please see Keith for more information)
If you have children or teenagers, please do consider sending them on Summer Camps too, they are a great time for spiritual growth and making great friends. The links above should lead you to more details.
There are many more organisations that offer great camps, CEF and Christians In Sport are just a few
