“So…any nice summer holidays planned?”
This is quite a common question, which leads to various answers. This summer you have the opportunity of answering somewhat differently, how about this answer…
“Yeah, going away to serve God on a camp for teenagers where I’ll be stretched and encouraged in my faith”
What summer camps and mission do not offer are guaranteed sun or relaxation, but what they do offer is a week with an unbelievable opportunity to share the good news of Jesus openly with the next generation.
Camps and missions run throughout the summer across the province and they need volunteers to make it happen, young and old.
If you are interested in volunteering, here are three great ways
1. Kircubbin Whizz Kidz (8th -12th August)
Support our church plant in Kircubbin by signing up early to take part in the afternoon programme for kids and teenagers. Must be 16+
2. Baptist Youth Camps and Evangelism Teams (Various)
Support other Baptist Churches on a range of camps and missions. Holiday Bible Clubs to outreach events, these teams will not be short of a challenge.
3. Scripture Union camps and missions (Various)
6000 young people heard the gospel last year through these events; more volunteers are needed this year. You can even stay at home and serve in local missions like Ballyholme or Ballycrochan CSSM.
For more information please pick up a brochure or go online and get your application in ASAP!
If you cannot go on a camp, please consider praying for the work or sponsoring one of our young people or students to go and serve this summer. (Please see Keith for more information)
